Our Story
Hi! My name is Jerry Beyer. My Wife Donna and I started Big Boar with a mobile cook shack in 2010. A Passion for BBQ and the enjoyment of serving the public prompted this decision after selling our successful cabinet business to our daughter and her husband. In 2011 we opened a second mobile cook shack so we could sell on our lot as well as events, such as country fairs. In 2014 we built the restaurant on the lot we had been selling on. Catering was part of our business from the start. The rapid growth in catering prompted us to build a new catering kitchen and warehouse area on the property behind the restaurant in 2015. All recipes, including rubs and sauces, are our own and will be sold with business. Big Boar has won numerous awards over the years, including best BBQ and Best Caterer in La Crosse County for the past eight years. Donna and I have loved this business, it is simply time to retire for the second time.
